    Briv®

    Speed fasteners with a bulbed tail providing consistent high clamp and shear.


    The Avdel Briv Speed Fastening® System have a bulbed tail providing consistent high clamp and shear, making it ideal for assembling many materials including metal, plastic and aluminum alloy. With easy installation and lower in-place costs than welding or nail rivet, this speed riveting system is extensively used for light fabrication needs.

    Chobert®

    Speed fasteners which provide consistent controlled clamp, ideal for soft or brittle materials.


    The Avdel Chobert speed fastener has been an important part of Avdel since the 1930's when it was used in the renowned Spitfire. The Chobert Speed Fastening® system provides consistent controlled clamp, ideal for soft or brittle materials. The light clamp of the Chobert rivet makes it ideal for use as a pivot pin or hose tail.

  • Double Flush Chobert®

    Flush Speed Fastening® for applications in exceptionally thin sheet materials.

    The Double Flush Chobert rivet is a Speed Fastening rivet with countersunk head for use in exceptionally thin sheet materials. Based on the Avdel Chobert design, it's specifically developed for use in the electronics industry.

  • Grovit®

    Developed for blind hole applications in wood, plastics, fibreglass and aluminium with the flexibility to also be used in harder substrates.


    The Avdel Grovit Speed Fastening® system has been used since the sixties and has been continually developed by Avdel for blind hole applications in wood, plastics, fibreglass and aluminium. The Grovit rivet also has the flexibility to be used in harder substrates. The grooves on the Grovit rivet provide an increased pull out resistance.

  • Rivscrew®

    Threaded, removable speed fasteners that combine the speed of rivet placement with the benefits of being able to remove and re-fasten.


    The Avdel Rivscrew Speed Fastening® system is a threaded, removable speed fastener that combines the speed of rivet placement with the benefits of being able to remove and re-fasten. Using a Rivscrew rivet removes the need for costly tapping or thread forming operation whilst creating a higher vibration resistant 'thread lock' compared to standard screws.

    Key features and benefits

    • Expands radially during installation to form a thread in host material
    • Removable for servicing with a hex key and reusable
    • Various lengths available providing high clamp loads
    • Placed using a hexagon mandrel which expands the threaded diameter radially, adjacent to its six corners.
    • Providing a higher vibration resistant "thread lock" in the parent material compared to standard screws
    • Can be used to fasten most materials up to Vickers hardness 105 Hv5
    • Eliminates the need for costly tapping or thread-forming operations

  • Rivscrew® PL

    Speed Fastening® for plastic assembly requirements.

    The Avdel Rivscrew PL is a Speed Fastening solution for plastic assembly requirements.

    Designed specifically for plastic assembly, the Rivscrew PL fasteners are threaded, removable fasteners that combine the speed of rivet placement with the benefits of being able to remove and re-fasten. The rivets can be installed up to six times faster than screw and nut assemblies. The Rivscrew PL rivet can be removed with a standard hexagonal key up to five times with very little reduction in performance.

    The Rivscrew PL fastener features a special thread designed for a wide range of plastics with a flexural modulus between 340,000 and 1,400,000 p.s.i. (2000 to 10000 N/mm2).

  • Avtronic®

    Avtronic®

    Initially designed to attach DIN 41612 connectors to PCBs but can also be used to attach a wide range of other connectors and electronic components.

    The Avdel Avtronic Speed Fastening® system has been designed as an assembly solution for attaching connectors and components to PCBs. The Avtronic rivet has annular grooves along its body which expand radially during insertion. This provides a vibration resistant joint and good pull out resistance.

  • Avsert®

    Threaded stand-off pillars for PCBs in a range of metric internal threads and many stand-off heights.

    The Avdel Avsert is a threaded stand-off pillar for PCBs. The internal threads allows for a threaded part to be inserted. The Avsert Speed Fastening® system is available in a variety of stand-off heights to suit your individual needs and will fit an array of board thicknesses.

    Key features and benefits

    • Internally threaded bore takes a threaded part e.g. D-subminiature connectors
    • Available in many stand-off heights to accommodate a wide variety of components
    • Can be used for board thicknesses of 0.8-2.0 mm (short spigot) or 0.8-2.4 mm max (long spigot)

  • Avlug

    Secure, easy-to-solder terminal posts for PCBs.

    The Avdel Avlug Speed Fastening® system is an easy to solder post designed for use in terminals and for wire wrapping. The Avlug rivets rolled shank ensures secure placement in the PCB. Available in diameters as small as 1.6mm giving this rivet a wide variety of applications.
