With OEM offering a full line of rivet tools, POP enables customers to develop blind riveting systems that meet their very specific requirements, from low-frequency maintenance usage through mechanized or automated mass production lines.
The ‘POP®’ philosophy is to enable customers to develop blind riveting systems to meet their specific requirements, from low frequency maintenance usage right through to mechanized or automated mass production lines.
The availability of a range of interchangeable setting tools and accessories also means that the system can grow cost-effectively as demand increases, from prototype stage, through pre-production and into full-scale manufacture.
And where limited access or awkward applications make it impossible to use ‘POP®’ power tools in their standard configurations, a series of specialized setting heads and front end kits is available.
‘POP®’ power tools are available in two versions: the MCS version fitted with a vacuum mandrel collection system and the PRG/PRT/TT version fitted with a mandrel deflector.
POP NUT® Blind Rivet Nuts can be installed into sheet-metal, tubing, extrusions, plastics and other materials to provide strong, reliable internal threads in applications that require subsequent component assembly.
POP NUT® blind rivet nuts are the perfect solution for providing high quality, load bearing threads even in single thin sheets down to 0.020" (0.5mm). They can be used in a variety of materials where alternative methods cannot maintain torque and pull-out loads. They enable components which are assembled later in the production cycle to be adjusted and are ideally suited for applications where access is only available from one side of the workpiece.POP NUT® brand blind rivet nuts are internally threaded rivets that can be installed into sheet-metal, tubing, extrusions, castings, plastics and many other materials providing strong load bearing threads. Available in inch and metric thread sizes of several different grip ranges, body shapes, head styles and materials these blind fasteners can be installed using manual operated, hand held pneumatic or automated tool systems.
POP NUT Blind Rivet Nuts provide the quick and easy answer for all types of application where components are fixed to sheet or tubular materials.
Blind Rivets - Advantages of "Blind" POP® Rivets
The ability to set POP rivets without the need for access at the back of the work makes their use mandatory in many instances. However, their many additional advantages make POP rivets the logical choice in numerous applications where the blind rivet setting feature is not of primary importance, such as:
- Low in-place costs
- Fast assembly
- Low-cost, lightweight, easily portable tools
- Vibration-proof assembly
- No surface marring
- Exceptional versatility
- High grip and pull-up strengths
- Increased design flexibility
How do you fasten something when you do not have access to the back of the item you are fastening to?
Sometimes you just cannot reach, or it is hidden under machinery and simply un accessible.
Blind Rivets are multi-piece rivet assemblies, capable of being installed from one side of the work piece. Traditionally, blind rivets were used on aircraft leading edges, trailing edges, and close out areas which are limited to access to one side of the structure. Current blind rivet usage has expanded to many additional areas of the aircraft in an effort to decrease labor expense and to address the ergonomic issues of solid riveting.
The WELL-NUT® threaded insert is a flanged chloroprene bushing with a brass machine nut molded into one end. Tightening a conventional machine screw threaded in the brass nut causes the insert to expand, making a secure fastening.
Available in a Chloroprene rubber as standard. Other rubber compounds are available including EPDM and Nitrile. Chloroprene rubber offers stable strength and exhibits average levels of all beneficial properties. EPDM is ideal for outdoor applications.
WELL-NUT® Threaded Inserts are RoHS, ELoV and WEEE compliant
The JACK NUT® threaded insert is an economical blind fastener designed for assembly-line use in thin, soft, or brittle materials. When tightened, the body collapses to form four legs which grip the inside of the mounting surface, leaving a permanent, reusable threaded insert.
Available in steel and brass, it can be coated with RAINTITE® to seal moisture and hard plastic PVC to prevent scratching and galvanic corrosion.
JACK NUT® Threaded Inserts are RoHS, ELoV and WEEE compliant.
